About Koru

Koru is seven and the crew's fixer. His tool belt has a wrench and a screwdriver, and his safety goggles sit on his forehead until there is a job to do.

In Book 1 Koru solves the secret of the squeaky wagon: the front wheel is rusted stuck. He takes it off, cleans it, and with three drops of golden oil the wheel spins smooth as a top.

Koru leads the Repair books. His favourite question is "Can we fix it?" and the answer is usually yes.

  3. Look for rust or two parts rubbing.
  4. With a grown-up, add one drop of oil and test it again.
